I have fulfilled a dream... I am now a published author! Join me as I fret, explore, learn, and enjoy what is to come. Will it always be fun and easy? Probably not, but the journey will be amazing!
Jessica...the cover is as cclose to perfect as it gets, even the body language works beautifully. You have one very talented sister-in-law.Congrulations.Soooz
I like the art itself, but the photo is too wide... unless it's a children's book you're going to want something taller. You'll either have to crop the photo and leave out the produce section, or redo it. Also, it does seem slightly old-fashionedish... but maybe that will work for your book. :)
When the borders are applied to the cover, it looks taller. I realize it looks wide right now, but I think it's because it didn't post with the borders on it. I am having her play with it still, and we'll see what we come up with. Thanks for your suggestions!Jess
Cute! Is that watercolor splash with photoshop? Sometimes it works. Considering the prices of others, I think that is beautiful for a cover. Besides, who has $1500 for a professional graphic designer? I think it's great, and since your book is so down to earth, I don't think it would've worked half as well if it were real pictures without any effects to it. Plus the blurriness makes people wonder exactly who she's talking too.:)Great job!
